Why is more software not lamp based? (For non tech people that means backboned by Linux, Apache, Mysql and PHP.)
Will Drupal ever become as popular as Wordpress? (We could list CMS for days but the part that really matters is who needs what and where do they get the most benefit?) Will medical innovations finally start to defeat cancer? (Several forms have promising research I am fascinated to find out where it goes.) Is Information Security doomed? Countless companies seem content to do the bare minimum and just worry about damage control when a breach occurs. The final one to me is what will be the next web innovator? Should be an exciting year only about 45 more days until we start to answer some of these :) Did I miss any? Please let me know in the comments. Is Digital Marketing A Fad?11/5/2015 Is Digital Marketing A Fad?You hear digital marketing and at this point it is used like a buzzword. The question though is there a tangible ROI and if not why does everyone at like it is the epitome of great marketing? Let's start by saying elements of digital marketing do have value in most marketing situations. Facebook is useful in small business and consumer branding and lead generation, twitter is a great branding tool and Linkedin can be quite valuable for business to business. SEO or search engine optimization is dead though right? This is a common misconception almost as much as people deciding that social media has no business value the answer is it depends. If you are in the B2B arena Linkedin will give you the best ROI. In the B2C area you want to focus on Facebook. Keep in mind if you are looking to drive sales and leads Google will likely lead to more purchases on the consumer side but in order to manage your advertising costs I would strongly recommend using longtail keywords for your advertisements as much as possible. Digital Marketing is very much alive but you need to know your audience and engage them effectively to maximize ROI. What is your marketing strategy? Let me know in the comments below.
